On Friday last, our amazing 3rd class students hosted our January assembly. We officially launched the KiVa programme in our school. John's class held a 'questions and answers' session to help us understand more about the anti-bullying programme. We also met the KiVa team, Suzie, Niamh, Erica, Stuart, Eimear and Alison. Kayleigh and Ciara's classes treated us to a great rendition of the Bruno Mars song, 'Count On Me'. Some teachers also gave us a presentation on their recent Erasmus mobility trip to Finland, where they visited Finnish schools who have the KiVa programme in their schools. Erica, Laura, Stuart and Ashlene described what school is like in Finland and some students asked questions too. The senior choir finished assembly with a chant and also sang 'What the world needs now'. Thank you to our 3rd class students and their teachers John, Ciara and Kayleigh, as well as all the parents, guardians and neighbours who came to see our assembly.
